Max Certified Used Guitars
At Max Guitar Care we buy, recondition, restore, and re-sell good quality acoustic and electric guitars. If you have an old “closet classic” that’s been gathering dust in a case or a closet, or an instrument that’s sitting unused because it requires a repair, consider turning it over to me. I’ll fix it up and find it a new home by listing it for sale here.
You can participate in two ways:
1. Buy and re-sell
I will buy your old instrument from you for cash as-is, perform the necessary repairs and refurbishing, and re-sell it here. I assume the financial risk of investing my time and money. You get cash for an instrument you haven’t been using.
2. Consignment
You retain ownership of the instrument. I perform the necessary repairs and refurbishing and charge you my normal fees for that. Then I sell the refurbished instrument here. You keep the sale proceeds less my consignment fee.
If your guitar does not have resale potential, I will accept it on donation, perform the repairs and refurbishing which are practically possible, and afterward, donate it to Edmonton’s Youth Emergency Shelter.
We cannot guarantee that we’ll always have exactly what you’re looking for at Max Guitar Store. It’s not a high-volume type of business. What I have for sale here depends on what comes to me from my clients. But we do guarantee that any instrument you buy from Max Guitar Store is backed by my standards of quality. I will only offer for sale instruments I can stand behind. All instruments for sale here come with a warranty.
